For our next tech meet, 30th June, we have guest speaker Matt Sergeant (from MessageLabs), coming to preview his OSCON talk. More talks are planned, details as they are confirmed will be on the next technical meeting schedule.
On July 28th, another themed night is planned, this time with Linux/OpenSource in mind. We have two guest speakers lined up from South Birmingham Linux User Group, presenting talks on Open Source and an AI Open Source Project.
On August 18th, we are hoping to arrange an OpenGuides night of talks, with 3 of the OpenGuides developers coming along to present various aspects of the OpenGuides project, along with Steve, who will be giving a look at what the state of Birmingham OpenGuides is at, and his plans for the future.

We are one of the UK's largest Perl user groups, representing Birmingham UK to the international Perl community since 2000. We hold monthly social and technical presentations, and several of our members are now regular attendees and speakers at the YAPC::Europe Perl Conferences.
